Description
The more I see the less I know
The more I like to let it go
Deep beneath the cover of another perfect wonder
Where it's so white as snow
Privately divided by a world so undecided
And there's no way to go
In between the cover of another perfect wonder
Where it's so white as snow
(part of a song by RHCP)
Just had this idea of doing snow and this is what came to mind.
Practice in textures/backgrounds and snow offcourse
A3 bristol vellum and mech pencils
Feel free to comment/critique or give tips. I would really appreciate it

I like how engaging this woman's expression is. The extra detail spent on the eyes are well spent. It's actually very hard to look away, and you wonder as you stare what it is she's thinking about. That's why the Vision and Impact ratings are high for this piece.
The detail in the scarf is a great secondary place of focus as well, and the fact that you have not otherwise overwhelmed the composition with too much detail means that your eye has a place to rest. Despite this, I believe that a little more detail in the hat may have helped integrate it a little better.
The empty space to the right is a choice that I appreciate, although some vague clue as to what she may be considering may have drummed up more interest and introspection on the part of the audience. It definitely would not be detailed, just a vague shadow in the snowfall. But that's a personal suggestion and preference, and if anything not following the natural inclination to want to fill every bit of space is a refreshing show of restraint.
Great work on this, and thank you for sharing!
